Purpose

These content guidelines help keep StockDokan safe, lawful, and high-quality for buyers and sellers worldwide. They apply to uploads across photos, vectors, illustrations, videos, themes, templates, plugins, apps, source code, audio, and 3D or mockup assets.

Scope & Responsibilities

You must have the rights to license any content you upload globally. Provide accurate metadata and disclosures, including model or property releases and editorial-only status when needed. StockDokan may review, remove, limit, or refuse content that violates these rules or applicable law.

Prohibited Content

• IP infringement: unlicensed third-party material, re-uploads from other stock sites, scraped datasets, or items built mainly from assets you do not own.
• Logos and brand marks: registered trademarks or trade dress used without permission, including look-alike branding that may confuse buyers.
• Illegal or harmful content: malware, exploits, spyware, keyloggers, phishing kits, or doxxing tools.
• Hate, violence, or terrorism: content that promotes or glorifies hate, violence, or extremist groups.
• Adult or NSFW content: explicit sexual content, minors in sexualized contexts, fetish content, or nudity intended for commercial exploitation.
• Personal data: PII in files or metadata, such as emails, IDs, or medical records, unless lawfully provided with explicit consent and clearly required.
• Misinformation and harmful claims: medical, financial, or legal advice presented as fact without evidence or proper context.
• As-is redistribution: packs intended to resell files themselves as stock or as datasets for scraping.

Restricted & Disclosure-Required Content

• Editorial-only imagery: newsworthy people, brands, events, or private property without release must be marked editorial only and not used commercially.
• People and property: identifiable people or recognizable private locations should have the appropriate release and be marked clearly on the item page.
• Medical, financial, or AI-related assets: include clear disclaimers and avoid promises of outcomes.
• Stock with brand presence: remove or neutralize prominent trademarks where possible; otherwise mark the item editorial only.
• Open-source components: disclose licenses and include third-party notices inside the ZIP, including a license folder where applicable.

AI-Generated & Synthetic Media

• AI-generated items are allowed if you have rights to the outputs and the training process did not violate others’ rights.
• Disclose when an image, video, or voice is AI-generated or heavily AI-edited.
• Do not submit AI content as real photography when it is not.
• No deepfakes of real people without explicit consent.
• No synthetic voices that impersonate real individuals.
• Do not train or fine-tune models on StockDokan content unless an item page explicitly permits it.

Quality Standards

Photos

• No excessive noise, compression artifacts, or focus issues; edges should be clean and horizons straight.
• Long edge should be at least 3000px, in sRGB, with accurate white balance.
• Avoid heavy watermarking and misleading composites for editorial shots.

Vectors & Illustrations

• Use clean paths, grouped layers, and text converted to outlines where appropriate.
• Files should scale without jagged edges and maintain consistent stroke widths.
• Icon packs should be coherent in grid, padding, and style system.

Videos & Motion

• Prefer 1080p or higher, with stable frame rates and no flicker or banding.
• Use clean audio for clips with sound and avoid copyrighted music or effects unless licensed.
• Loop-ready segments are encouraged where applicable.

Themes, Templates & UI Kits

• Provide production-ready code and design, accessible components, and a clear README and changelog.
• No embedded secrets or trackers; third-party libraries must be licensed and documented.
• Include live demos where helpful, and make sure screenshots reflect what is included.

Plugins & Apps/Source Code

• Keep code malware-free, with dependencies pinned and environment variables documented.
• Include versioned releases and a compatibility list for framework, CMS, PHP, or Node versions as relevant.
• No license key leaks or call-home spyware.

Audio & 3D/Mockups

• Audio: clean mix, no clipping, and stems or tempo details when useful.
• 3D: clean topology, unwrapped UVs, and PBR textures.
• Mockups: layered PSD files should be easy to edit.

Metadata & Presentation

• Title: specific and honest, ideally 50–70 characters.
• Description: include subject, use cases, formats, sizes, versions, and what is included.
• Tags: use 8–15 relevant terms without keyword stuffing.
• Previews: keep thumbnails crisp and accurate.
• Disclosure: clearly mark editorial-only, AI-generated, or no-releases-available items.

Duplicates, Spam & Manipulation

• No duplicate uploads or trivial variants.
• No metadata spam, misleading tags, or hidden keyword lists.
• No fake traffic, incentives for reviews, or bots to game rankings or downloads.

Legal & Regional Compliance

• Comply with copyright, privacy, publicity, consumer protection, export controls, and sanctions laws.
• Add disclaimers where required for sensitive areas such as health, finance, or content for children.
• StockDokan may geo-restrict or delist items to comply with local regulations.

Review, Enforcement & Appeals

• All items are reviewed for quality and compliance, and minor metadata may be edited.
• Enforcement may include warnings, edits, delisting, takedowns, feature limits, suspension, or termination.
• If you believe a decision was incorrect, reply to the review email or contact support@stockdokan.com with the item link and supporting evidence.
• Repeat violations may result in permanent removal or account closure, including payout holds during investigations.

Examples: Allowed vs Not Allowed

• City skyline with visible brand billboards: editorial only.
• Vector icon pack derived from another marketplace’s pack: not allowed.
• WordPress plugin with obfuscated tracking script: not allowed.
• AI-generated portrait in the real photography category: not allowed unless disclosed.
• App starter template using an MIT-licensed library: allowed if third-party licenses are included.

Report a Concern

If you see content that may violate these guidelines or your rights, report it through the DMCA process or email support@stockdokan.com with the item URL and details.
